Town of Shoals receives over $117,000 in grant money.
In my last column, I shared how a few dedicated Hoosiers came together to make the Catfish Festival on Main Street possible. While I mentioned several names, I’d be remiss not to highlight two more key individuals who played a major role in pulling everything together—Cecil Ragsdale, Chairperson of the 232 Street Revitalization Committee, and Jessica Potts, Executive Director of the Martin County Alliance. Their timely calls, follow-ups, and persistence with the various agencies involved made all the difference. Without their efforts, we likely wouldn’t have been able to keep the Catfish Festival right here on Main Street in Shoals.
Now, on to some great news for the town: Shoals has been awarded a grant of more than $117,000 to support the training of our designated water and wastewater employee, Dylan Way. Over the next two years, this funding will help…
