Department

The Town of Shoals is dedicated to serving our community through essential services provided by our Volunteer Fire Department, which ensures safety during emergencies; the Health Department, promoting public health and wellness; the Police Department, maintaining safety and security; and the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, managing town finances and records with transparency. Together, these departments work tirelessly to enhance the quality of life for all residents and visitors.

Firehose

The Shoals Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to serving the Shoals community in Martin County, Indiana. Located at 201 Water St, Shoals, IN 47581, with a mailing address of PO Box 676, the department relies on community members to join as volunteer firefighters.

The Shoals Town Marshal’s office, led by Marshal Matthew Copeland, operates out of Shoals Town Hall at 221 Low Street, Shoals, IN 47581 (mailing address: PO Box 1078). The Marshal is responsible for law enforcement, public safety, and maintaining records of incidents within the town’s jurisdiction. Below are the procedures for filing police reports and accessing related public records.
