Public Meetings
The Town Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Town Hall. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate.

The Governance and Administration section oversees the effective management of the Town of Shoals. This includes the Town Commissioners and Town Council, who are responsible for enacting policies, ordinances, and budgets that guide the town's operations. Various boards and committees, comprising dedicated staff and community members, focus on specific areas such as planning, zoning, and community development.
The Government Licensing section issues various licenses to residents and businesses. This includes Marriage Licensing, which processes applications for marriage licenses and provides information on the legal requirements for marriage; Concealed Carry Licensing, which manages applications for concealed carry permits, ensuring compliance with state regulations; and Health Licensing, which issues licenses for health-related businesses and professionals, ensuring adherence to public health standards.


The Public Safety section is dedicated to maintaining the safety and security of Shoals residents. The Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement services, maintains public order, and ensures the safety and security of all residents. Emergency Management coordinates disaster preparedness and response efforts, working to protect the community during emergencies.
The Voting and Elections section assists residents in registering to vote, updating voter information, and provides resources on upcoming elections. This ensures that all eligible citizens can participate in the democratic process.


The Properties and Taxes section manages property records, assessments, and provides information on real estate transactions within the town. The Treasurer's Office oversees the collection of property taxes, manages town finances, and ensures fiscal responsibility.
