Boil Water Advisory for certain Shoals Municipal Utilities customers (OLD)

SHOALS MUNICIPAL WATER CUSTOMERS ON EAST RIVER ROAD AND SAWMILL RIDGE ARE UNDER BOIL WATER ADVISORY EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure to prevent the potential ingestion of harmful germs or chemicals in the water.

Residents affected by this advisory are advised to boil their water for at least 5 minutes prior to consumption by humans and pets. The water is safe for bathing purposes.

The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect for a minimum of 48 hours or until two consecutive water samples pass testing. A subsequent notification will be issued once the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
