Boil Water Advisory for Shoals Municipal Utilities customers (CURRENT)

SHOALS MUNICIPAL WATER IS UNDER BOIL WATER ADVISORY EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure to prevent the potential ingestion of harmful germs or chemicals in the water.

Residents affected by this advisory are advised to boil their water for at least 5 minutes prior to consumption by humans and pets. The water is safe for bathing purposes.

The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect for a minimum of 48 hours or until two consecutive water samples pass testing. A subsequent notification will be issued once the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
